We’re discussing NVMe storage devices again. I believe they’re robust enough to handle a swap if handled properly. Typically, they’re made from foam filled with silicone oil.

It shouldn't cause any issues. I wouldn't stress over the thermal pads; they could handle it, and it doesn't matter if they don't.
