I have an i7 10700k and an Asus Z490 PLUS WIFI with a Be Quiet Pure Rock BK009 cooler. When I play games for a while, my CPU gets very hot (reaches 95°C+) and starts throttling. I’m wondering if switching to a Noctua NH-D15s would help. Also, is there a way to determine if the issue is with the CPU or the motherboard?

The Pure Rock isn't perfect, but it seems insufficient for real-world use at 10700K. What temperatures do you experience while gaming instead of under stress tests? Have you adjusted any BIOS settings concerning power limits or MCE for the CPU? Also, what clock speeds are you seeing on your processor during load conditions?
