Considering delidding your 8086k, how long does Conductonaut typically last on a delidded processor? Will it require reapplication after several years or longer? Thanks.

Apply the liquid metal inside and conduct a test between IHS and cooler.

Conductonaut is the liquid metal, and Kryonaut is the paste. I'm uncertain about how long the LM will last, so that's a good question. I've tried and personally don't recommend it. Sure, you get high temperatures, but speed isn't much better. You're already at 5.0GHz, which is enough. There are too many things that could go wrong. And what about selling it? It's just a complicated process.

The only evidence you've seen tested so far is one year; you should check for more testing as it's still available.

Be cautious when accepting their claims; they likely have an interest in the outcome and may exaggerate its duration.

It should last years. You should also pay attention to your thermal layers, increasing them if they start requiring a refresh.
