Can I substitute the Screen Cleaning Kit for a thermal crease remover? And is it safe to use a microfiber cloth to clean the CPU with a brush?

Use rubbing alcohol along with an old cotton T-shirt or a rough paper towel. Do not place the alcohol directly on the CPU; instead, dampen the cloth and then apply it to the CPU area. If you need to exert more than five or six pounds of pressure, you may not be using enough alcohol.

Isopropyl alcohol and an old cotton t-shirt work. Can I use the screen cleaning kit? I'm in Malaysia and can't buy these online.

Lee Hoe Mun:
giantbucket :
isopropyl alcohol and an old cotton t-shirt. Don't waste expensive microfiber on that.
Can I use the screen cleaning kit?
I live in Malaysia. Can't buy those things online.
Not the best idea.

Weber Darren97 shared his thoughts with Lee Hoe Mun.
Isopropyl alcohol and an old cotton t-shirt are suggested alternatives.
He questions whether the screen cleaning kit is necessary.
Since he lives in Malaysia, online purchases aren't possible.
He advises using a coffee filter with alcohol to clean thermal grease, considering it the most cost-effective option.

look for isopropyl alcohol at a pharmacy or nearby medical facility, request rubbing alcohol or disinfectant suitable for skin, preferably 70% or higher. search for an old t-shirt somewhere.

Go to a drug store or local medical facility and ask for rubbing alcohol or alcohol with at least 70% concentration to disinfect the skin. Find an old t-shirt nearby.
