I’ve been using my Acer Predator Helios 300 for nearly a year now. Recently, some problems started happening. The screen would flicker briefly before turning black, or sometimes display grey or green lines across it. For about a week it was manageable—I could simply restart the PC and everything worked again. I made sure the BIOS and most drivers were up to date. This past week things got worse. Now I can’t log into Windows without hitting a black screen. I’ve checked online, but no one seems to have encountered the same issue. Something odd happened earlier: after leaving it on for a few hours, it worked for an hour before going black. Later, when I opened Predator Sense, it reported temperatures of 150°F on both my CPU and GPU. My keyboard felt unusually hot, and during intense gaming sessions I could sense that heat. I’m not sure how to fix this and am trying everything possible to find a solution. The photo shows my laptop after I managed to connect to Windows; the keyboard still lights up when I press keys, indicating it’s still operational.
