On Sunday I unintentionally struck my PC with a screwdriver right above the GPU slot, causing the M.2 drive to stop working. I made sure the issue wasn’t with the NVMe card and that the system still functions, but I’m unsure if I should continue using it on a damaged motherboard. The next day, my PC failed to load Windows and displayed an error message. I contacted Asus for the motherboard company, but their warranty doesn’t cover the damage. I’m in need of assistance and don’t have enough money for a replacement board. (I marked the spot where I hit the motherboard.)
It might be me, but I notice no scratches. There’s a solder blob where it shouldn’t be. Asus is correct—it’s not covered by warranty. Lesson learned: handle tools near computer parts carefully; costs can add up fast.

It's an Asus B550 Plus with Wi-Fi 2, and it wasn't connected to a power source.
