Hello
I’m experiencing a strange problem with the notification sounds when using the speaker plugin. It was functioning properly yesterday, but suddenly it stopped working. Sounds on videos (like YouTube and similar platforms) are fine, yet when switching to my monitor sound connected via DisplayPort, the notification alerts still work. However, the monitor speakers aren’t good enough, so I prefer using my regular speakers instead.

I’ve checked all possible system settings—notifications are enabled—and it seems my speakers are working correctly, as I can hear YouTube and Netflix clearly.
Anyone has a suggestion on how to resolve this issue?

Have you attempted to reinstall the audio drivers for the built-in audio chip? You can typically locate them on the website of your motherboard manufacturer.

With the speaker output, the notification sounds don't function properly, but on YouTube, Netflix, and others it works well. When switching to monitor speakers connected via DisplayPort, the notification sounds operate correctly.

Finally located a fix
Within system > Audio is a reset option, which worked
I'm still confused about what happened, but at least it was resolved

It's Windows... nobody really understands why the problems show up and how to fix them by themselves... not even Microsoft.
