There is an unusual issue with my microphone | GXT 252+ Emita Plus.
The audio from it sounds quite robotic and it's hard to understand myself. The louder I speak, the more clearly you can hear it.
The unusual thing is that the microphone works fine on my friends' PCs and has been functioning normally for about 3-4 years.
There haven't been any Windows updates during the time it stopped working (roughly 2-3 days).
I reinstalled the audio drivers, but I'm not sure what to do now.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
(I'm also sorry in advance for my poor English, I'm not a native speaker.)
The microphone uses a USB connection, so I'm interested in finding out the model of your motherboard. What is the BIOS version for your system right now? Have you attempted to reinstall your chipset manually in an elevated command, assuming you're using a Windows operating system? Audio drivers aren't related to the microphone, as your audio processing is handled through the USB port or your platform's chipset.
Well, trying to reinstall didn't seem to help (unless I made a mistake).
Eddit: I checked some additional audio settings, like the Windows auto repair tool and similar things. For the microphone, it says "no nest information available/no information about socket" (though my translation might be a bit off), and regarding the controller, it links to "C-MEDIA Inc."—I'm pretty sure that was a different site before.
