There is a problem with the CPU LED.
Hi everyone.
My PC isn't responding and the CPU LED is flashing red. I'm using a B450 Tomahawk Max.
I bought two more RAM sticks, installed them, and adjusted some BIOS settings. The system started running at 3200Mhz, which is lower than the 3600Mhz the RAM supports. Suddenly, the PC displayed blue screens with error messages like IRQL_LESSTHAN OR EQUAL TO. I changed the default speed in BIOS to 2133 and it worked temporarily. When I switched to another XMP profile (3333mhz), the PC shut down and the CPU LED lit up again.
I've tried clearing CMOS, replacing the battery, checking RAM placement, unplugging and reattaching the GPU. Still, nothing seems to fix it. I'm stuck—just press the power button and the fans spin white (assuming default), but the red LED stays on.
Help is needed. I'm not sure what's wrong and don't want to buy a new motherboard. All connections look normal, and I haven't touched anything. Thanks for your time.
another update, i've successfully posted by swapping out my old ram sticks for just one new one in slot 2. it seems changing the bios ram settings might have disabled the old ones. another note, even though it's posted and i'm using windows, it's extremely slow—this is the same problem i faced before when i managed to get it running.
