Hello! I purchased a laptop mainly for work, but it also works well for gaming. It has the following specifications: Geforce mx 450, I5-1135g7, 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz RAM, 1TB M.2 SSD, and a 90Hz display at 2880x1600 (though I’m using 1920x1200). I’ve installed PUGB and VALORANT, and I’m seeing similar FPS ranges, around 70-90. In VALORANT, lowering the resolution doesn’t improve FPS, whereas in PUGB it does. After installing BATTLEFIELD 4, I’m achieving over 130 FPS. The NVIDIA control panel shows Vsync is off, and the task manager confirms the MX450 is being used. Anyone have a solution for this?

On the laptop display shown above, the visible frame rate is constrained by the panel's refresh rate—approximately 90 Hz—maintaining that same FPS. It doesn't exceed the actual 90 FPS in this setup. The reason you might see higher than 90 FPS in other games is that the laptop screen can't refresh that quickly. Also, Valorant appears to be quite demanding on resources, and reviews suggest around 70 FPS on an MX450 is typical. If you wish for more frames per second, lower the graphics quality settings.

I observed a game test using this GPU and noticed the player achieved over 150 frames per second at high settings with 1080p resolution. It's unusual that my performance remains consistent across Valorant and PUBG.
