Regardless of the game I'm playing, even simple titles like classic doom or stardew valley experience significant FPS drops consistently. The games maintain a steady 60 frames per second, but every two minutes the frames become erratic, plummeting to around 3 FPS. When I mention two minutes, I mean it happens precisely every two minutes without variation, as if timed. I've kept my power settings at maximum performance, used my laptop yesterday, and every game ran smoothly. Updating the drivers didn't fix the issue.

It seems you're referring to thermal throttling. What are your current temperatures?

What could have shifted yesterday? Maybe a windows update.
What’s occurring with the 2 minute timer?
Are you sending or receiving emails at that rate?

I have no idea, this just began occurring randomly. I'm not sure if it's really every two minutes or just seems that way, but I'm certain it feels consistent over time.

I've now understood that it's only with specific games, like Fallout 4 and Spec Ops The Line, that this is possible, but Warframe and My Friend Pedro don't fit this pattern, which doesn't make much sense to me.
