Hi guys! I had a question about Battlefield 5 because this bug is really annoying to me. When I am running around the map, my character suddenly freezes right there but I can only go left or right. To move forward again, I have to hit W key one more time. That feeling of having to do something twice feels weird and frustrating.

I tested it on a different game where that bug didn't happen at all, so I think it's probably not my keyboard doing anything wrong. Is there any setting in the game that causes this glitch, or is it related to graphics? My PC hardware is all set: CPU Intel i7-10700K, GPU Nvidia RTX 3070, motherboard ROG Strix Z490-F Gaming, memory 32GB Corsair Vengeance at 3000MHz, power supply Corsair 750W, storage with a mix of SSDs and HDDs.

My peripherals are a Razer Huntsman keyboard and mouse. I really need to know if there is any fix for this issue since I would really appreciate it if you could help me out!

Is this problem happening in both SP and MP games, or is it only seen in MP ones? I played SP a lot but never had this freeze. I've searched all over the internet and haven't found this bug reported anywhere else except for my own experience where freezing happens too often during movement when things unfreeze. I'm not sure if you're using a keyboard with many keys, maybe three or four at once. Some keyboards don't handle that well so it could be your KB causing the issue. You might need to reinstall the driver for the KB or make sure no other parts are fighting each other. Are you running any RGB lighting programs on other computer parts like monitors?

Yeah, it happened both times but I figured out what caused my game to freeze. It was this program called TaskbarX that was running in the background. Since we were on Windows 11, this program didn't work well, so it was glitching and making my player stop working.

I'm having trouble moving forward. I can only move left or right, and I only go forward after releasing the button and pressing W again. How do you fix this? I am on Windows 11 but I don't have that "TaskbarX" program. Please help me because this bug is really annoying!

Searching for "toggle sticky keys in Windows 11" probably means something about this problem.

I'm using W10 and Sticky Keys is turned on, so sometimes games act weird if I forget to press the Windows key when playing on my mechanical gaming keyboard. If you don't lock it down, things like the Start menu popping up or losing control in a supercross game can happen. Having that feature makes me want to buy one, but make sure you actually use it and lock off the Windows key!

Hey, I tried a solution my friend Grunvan gave me in this link. The fix was turning off the Origin game overlay by renaming the igo64.dll file inside the Origin folder. It worked for me. You can find that same file at C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\igo64.dll . Thanks, Grunvan. NOTE: Turning off the Origin settings didn't work and it still showed the overlay. To stop the overlay, you have to delete or rename the igo64.dll file named there.
