Hello
Hey everyone
I'm dealing with a problem (title) and honestly don't understand what's going on.
Let's begin with my PC specifications:
Processor: ASUS TUF Z690F D4 PLUS WIFI
CPU: Intel Core i7 12700K
GPU: MSI 2080TI Gaming X Trio
RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB DDR4 3200MHZ (2x16GB)
Power Supply: Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 1000W
Storage: WD_BLACK 1TB SN850 NVMe SSD
Headphones: Corsair HS80
Mouse: Coirsair Scimitar Elite
Keyboard: K60 Pro

At first, I thought the problem was with the headset, but after swapping it out it didn't resolve the issue.
It occurred twice today at 10:02 AM and 10:07 AM. I immediately checked my Event Logger, but there were no entries for those times.
I ran an SSD test and everything looked normal. Also, the Windows RAM Test came back fine.
I updated all my drivers and reinstalled Windows five times already, but the problem keeps happening.
I also reinstalled the GPU drivers. Still nothing seems to solve it—it doesn't happen every day.
Yesterday it didn't occur at all, but now it's happening twice.
My temperatures are consistently high—CPU around 50°C to 55°C during gaming, GPU near 75°C.
Anyone has any idea what might be causing this?

did you experiment with any adjustments in the video? the power setting change for nvidia was what resolved the issue
Nvidia control panel
3d settings
power management mode - prefer maximum power
apply
are you using 10 or 11?
updating network drivers or turning off unused adapters can also assist
top on chart shows nvidia is normal, though it might be the reason. I only perceive it as normal since most results on the net display it as top.
the second item here is ndis.sys which interacts with lan drivers.

check the latest bios for the motherboard?
test with this link and observe the latency -
https://www.resplendence.com/latencymon
if it shows latency, some steps could assist
i noticed nvidia drivers are consistently top but adjusting power settings in the nvidia control panel lowered mine to nearly zero.

I updated to the newest BIOS but went back to the previous version to check if it resolves the problem. Sadly, the issue occurred with both updates. I installed the program and it reports difficulties with real-time audio and other functions, such as dropouts, clicks, or pops caused by buffer underruns. It might be linked to power management—disable CPU throttling in Control Panel and BIOS setup. Also, look for BIOS updates.

the program has several tabs, but the Drivers tab is displaying the highest usage. A screenshot could be useful. Nvidia's leading position is expected. Most charts appear similar when everything is normal, except for the current status. We should examine the details closely. What appears on Drivers and CPU during warnings? It might need to pause (red square) to stop updating the numbers.

I'm using Windows 10 Pro and encountered the same problem on Windows 11. After adjusting my NVIDIA power settings, the program now states: Your system appears to be suitable for handling real-time audio and other tasks without dropouts. Everything looks good now—was that the original issue? I hope it's resolved, thank you for your help! I'll keep an eye on it in the coming days if the noise persists. Thanks again!

Did you anticipate the Nvidia Power management affecting this?
I have a 7 12700K Asrock Z690 Extreme WIFI 6E.
I’m experiencing problems with random crashes whenever I test different sound cards, likely due to the PCIE randomly loading or idling.

if you still have a problem, I would make a new thread about it as this is from 2 years ago and good chance the op won't return.
