You're facing performance issues in your strategy games despite having a solid setup. Check for potential bottlenecks by reviewing CPU, GPU, and RAM usage, ensuring your drivers are up to date, and verifying that your motherboard supports the latest components.

Your CPU and GPU workloads differ during gameplay. The CPU handles general processing tasks, while the GPU manages graphics rendering. Balancing both ensures smooth performance.

Audiences aren't beginning on the GPU, so think of a light workload.

In strategy games, advanced AI increases the load on the CPU. A multi-threaded processor won't be enough for those types of games.

Consider the benefits of upgrading to Ryzen and weigh them against your current needs.

Watched a recent video on YouTube discussing high and low settings. Sometimes average frames per second stayed consistent, but in some demanding games, lower settings caused more noticeable drops, while higher settings offered smoother performance. Could be worth exploring, especially if you're playing CPU-heavy titles. *EDIT: located the video.*

It's good to look for options with higher cores/threads, like an R5 or an i7.

I focused on various issues. The i5 should manage any current strategy game nicely. Are there background programs active? Do you have an SSD or HDD? What storage capacity remains? How recent is the system? Have there been any significant hardware updates recently? Are the latest drivers installed? How long has Windows been running? Did you move from a previous version?
