Good morning everyone. Just now I found out that my computer was shut down. It wouldn't start up again. I checked the power cord and saw a crack at the top of the plastic shell on it. I bought another Intel NUC model (NUC6i7KYK). Once I turned off the old one, I plugged the new cord into it. The machine started up but showed no picture on the screen. After a few minutes, everything went dark again. But then it turned back on by itself. This kept happening for a while. Finally, I shut it down completely. I'm worried that something shorted inside the computer. Can this be fixed? Or is it broken beyond repair? What should I do next? Best regards, Bottling

Welcome to the forums, new friend! It's possible that your NUC shorted or that the BIOS stopped working properly. You might want to take it apart and look closely at the circuitry near the power input on the motherboard using a multimeter if looking in the box doesn't find a broken part.

I think it's likely that something is wrong with the power source. Use a cheap multimeter to check your voltage readings.
