There are small audio jacks that can cause issues with keyboards.
Recently, my PC's headphone jack stopped working so I bought a 3.5mm to USB type C dongle to use since my PC had a USB type C port, but occasionally I have audio crackling that start out weak but gets more severe over time (~5-10 minutes). Additionally, my keyboard stops working properly. While in a game my inputs are delayed, don't go through at all or get stuck as if I'm holding down the key and while trying to type into a text box like this one it doesn't go through at all, and the only fix I've found is to restart my PC, at which point it usually wouldn't happen again until I shut off my PC for the night and then boot it up again the next day. Eventually I got tired of dealing with that and bought a second adapter that converts 3.5mm to USB 3.0 thinking that maybe it had to do with using USB type C but after a very brief honeymoon period of one day, the issues returned.
My question is this: Is there any sort of driver I need to download for these adapters, or is there some sort of program in general that will solve my issues? Also, I tried just cleaning my audio jack with 91% Isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab trimmed down to fit into the port but that did absolutely nothing for me.

It might be the chipset driver that's faulty because both soundcards rely on USB... implying the sound processing occurs directly on the USB port. You didn't mention the motherboard's details, including its BIOS version. Regarding your OS, are you using Windows? Also, check Device Manager for any warnings with a yellow exclamation mark when USB devices behave unexpectedly.
