I'm using a 3200MHz DDR4 setup as an example. Memory manufacturers focus more on CPU compatibility than strict JEDEC standards. They usually check which CPUs support the given speed at most without pushing overclocks, adapt the JEDEC guidelines for that frequency, and if necessary apply higher settings only through XMP profiles. If few or no chips natively support a JEDEC-defined speed, finding one in standard packaging is very uncommon.
It's likely the board is having trouble learning due to the variety of DIMMs. Just to verify, each DIMM functions separately when installed individually, but fails when paired? You may want to try the Samsung DIMM, record all timing details (primary, secondary, tertiary), then install the Zion DIMM alone and adjust those parameters. If it works with a single DIMM using pre-set settings, adding the Samsung one could speed up the training process.
Updated: I had to replace a part of my motherboard. After swapping it out, I received the same 8 GB Samsung module, allowing me to use a combined 16 GB of RAM. Really appreciated the help!
