the game remains stuck at 800×450 resolution, and changing quality doesn't help due to latency. turning on Optimus via the nvidia control panel resolves it temporarily, but switching back to automatic causes the issue again. i updated the driver but the problem persists. laptop model: lenovo legion 5 15imh05h, graphics card: gtx 1660 ti intel core i7 10750h

Which game are you playing? Could you explain your concern more precisely? I’m unsure about the meaning of “quality with latency” or the exact issue you’re facing. If enabling Optimus resolves the problem, why not keep it active?

since i focus on battery, i prefer keeping things consistent. electricity comes only once a day, and even delays in games or apps like excel are frustrating. i didn’t mean to mention low quality or high latency—just that it affects performance.

This problem occurs only during charging, but not when the laptop is running on battery.

No problem. You mentioned a battery concern. Did you check if the GPU was active while using the charger?

Yes, it's operating but the GPU isn't functioning at maximum capacity.
