I've been playing Star Citizen for a few months now, and the only thing I do is arena command. I'm reaching out because I keep seeing Reddit posts that don't match what I've seen.

It remains within the Arena Commander area but now features significant improvements over what was available a few months prior. Enhanced hangars, updated flight models, improved maneuverability for ships, fresh character animations, and many other upgrades. Try it out!

FPS should be planned for completion within two weeks. More vessels are getting operational, and larger ships with multiple crews could appear in the coming months. Regarding the social feature, it should launch about one to two months after FPS is released.

Also, REC. You obtain it by participating in public games, and it can be used to hire vessels and equipment.

I wouldn't wait my breath for FPS performance. It was meant to launch in March, but after the final two updates they introduced problems with the server-side matchmaking. Since the lobby system went live in 1.0, issues have only intensified. According to their statements, the problems are significant and simple fixes aren't working anymore. They're now considering a complete rewrite of large parts of the backend code. Their timeline suggests "up to a few weeks," and I question if they'll release the FPS module before confirming a reliable matchmaking system that can manage the intense gameplay demands, especially with all the players eager for it. They're putting in effort and sharing regular updates on their progress—this is what alphas do.
