There are occasional stability concerns when using an RTX 5070 Ti.
Update for you, bro. I’ve chosen to send my whole system back because I bought it under the 14-day window and the return policy is 30 days.
9800x3d
MSI Mag Tomahawk X870
DDR 5 32gb 30cl 6000mhz
RX 5070 Ti
NZXT water cooler
1000 watt Corsair PSU
What I’ve decided is, after losing my soul in the past two weeks, it’s probably simpler to go with ASUS next time and Intel, maybe with a 5070 Ti or wait for better deals. Also, did you check if your graphics card in GPU Z is running PCIe 5.0 while doing benchmarks inside GPU Z?
My card was still at 3.0 even after all the changes I made. I’m looking forward to a premium build in the future and think I’ll stick with Intel overall—it seems to perform better. Even booting up on the 9800x3d is surprising; my old 10th gen boots up in 5-10 seconds from powering it on.
Anyway, sorry for the story. Hope you sort it out. For me, it was easier to send everything back than wait for a replacement board.
Thanks for the update, mate.
After trying to fix the problem, I still can't locate a lasting solution. I've submitted an RMA for the motherboard with my supplier and plan to return it. Usually my PC boots up fine at 5.0, but sometimes it jumps to unstable states like 1.1 or 2.0. I figured it might just be idling, but it didn't change even after stress tests, which usually trigger crashes.
It's a real hassle and frustrating, but I hope the replacement board resolves the issue! Wishing you good luck with your new build.
