There are occasional stability concerns when using an RTX 5070 Ti.
Just installed samsung magician to verify, and it confirms my firmware is current. I searched online and found that disabling Nvidia audio drivers via Device Manager might resolve the problem. Not sure why this would work, but I've tried it. Will share updates tomorrow and keep an open mind for other suggestions.
I only changed the cards, no power cables were swapped. I'm using the 12V-2X6 / 12VHPWR 90° CABLE rated for 600w with my Be Quiet PSU. If turning off the audio driver didn't help, I'll attempt to replace this cable next.
I'm exhausted, disabling the audio hasn't resolved the issue—it's actually made it worse. This time I encountered both the nvlddmkm 14 error and the 153 error. I might follow what Sham recommended in his post and send this 5070ti back to use AMD. It's not worth the trouble for the slightly better performance!
Hello, sir,
Please review this video and you should receive your answer. The 5070ti and MSI Mag X870 tomahawk WiFi are facing known comparability problems; they can’t run the 50 series but the x870e works. I’m going to contact MSI for a replacement board or request a refund since it costs more, and I hope you’ll keep me updated.

Dannyzreviews is a YouTube channel. The video is titled: New Nvidia GPU’s are having Big issues! My rtx 5070ti Nightmare!
Just in case the link doesn’t work or you’re not sure.
I now have much clearer information.
Download the GPU to test if it functions properly on PCI e 5.0 during bench testing after clicking the question mark near the info. Watch the video more clearly.
I’ll check again soon, but I’m confident I haven’t been going crazy all this time.
I’m currently using my old 3060 12gb RTX just to see if my issue is coming any time soon; it’s too early to say.
I plan to contact MSI and request a return, making sure to remove the CPU (🤣). I’m hoping for an alternative to MSI, not just something else. I’ve scheduled two weeks off for this computer, spent every day browsing forums looking for advice, and finally came across this last video. It all makes sense now. Either get the X870E or another brand maybe ASUS.
Thank you for sharing the video, Sham. I've managed to improve the system's stability by setting gen 5 PCIe in the BIOS and slightly lowering the GPU voltage. I haven't experienced the same problems as the person in the video—his issues included boot failures and a GPU running at Gen 3 even after booting Windows. Have you encountered similar problems? Or are you dealing with intermittent NVDDM errors, jitter, and crashes like me?
I obtained my motherboard from Scan and they recommended using the power cable that came with the GPU instead of the one directly from the PSU. I'm not sure how this would help, but I'll try it. Also, could you update me on the status of your RMA with MSI?
I just used the adapter that came with the GPU instead of the separate 12V-2X6 / 12VHPWR unit, but it didn't fix the issue—it actually felt a bit more unstable. It seems the motherboard needs to be returned for replacement.
