When ERP is activated, the PC requires several rapid power button presses to start up. The issue persists even when the system is turned off, and there are no visible problems otherwise. I know it's meant to conserve energy, but once it powers down, nothing happens. It feels like I'm forcing electricity in by repeatedly pressing the power button while the system is on. Also, shorting the pins works without issues when ERP is enabled.

Ensure Fast Startup isn't active by running powercfg -h off. This may improve your system's responsiveness.

The power button functions as intended. It's possible your device's button is faulty, and ERP might influence the mainboard's behavior. Simple solution: turn ERP off. Certain configurations are only available through this preset on specific motherboards. Power usage could be 10W higher or idle.

If the shorting works, it means you're not keeping the button pressed long enough.
