There are still some apps that work with iOS 6, though compatibility is limited. Upgrading to a newer iOS version isn’t possible directly on the device, but you can look into Android versions or other devices that support the latest OS.

Generally, they need 9 or newer devices, though a few can use an older version that works with 6—though it’s not very smooth. No. Most likely there are some fully broken versions out there that managed to adapt Android to iPhones, but it would be just as difficult as trying Windows on a Switch (actually probably more challenging). You can’t run the latest iOS updates, and greyd00r (a heavily altered iOS 3) also doesn’t support them, only older versions and 3G. And the last time I tried it on an iPad, a lot of features crashed.

Previously I ran iOS 6 and could still get older app versions from other devices. But you can't install anything newer than iOS 6 on that phone. Even if you could, it wouldn't be a good idea—iOS 6 is already quite slow.
