I'm experiencing problems with my old laptop. It's been two and a half years now, and it used to run smoothly until recently. Now it often freezes when using certain apps, especially games. Starting programs takes much longer than before. Even basic tasks feel sluggish. I've run virus scans with Windows Defender and Kaspersky, checked for drive errors, and verified read/write speeds—nothing seems off. The task manager shows no unusual resource usage. I need someone to recommend a diagnostic tool that can assess the system's health and pinpoint any running issues. This will help me get it repaired quickly and possibly qualify for warranty support.

Did you discard it? If yes, the HDD might be damaged.

I think the Windows update from about last week was the cause. It’s similar to what happened to me—performance dropped, games lagged in menus, and my Blizzard launcher consumed a lot of CPU power. Try going back to an older version of Windows 10 to see if it improves things.
