What does "network works fine" really mean? A shaky Wi-Fi effect might look okay while just surfing the web or watching videos. Is your friend using Ethernet or Wi-Fi? Have you run a basic ping test like "ping 8.8.8.8 -t"? If the connection is unreliable, you’ll notice dropped packets and slow responses.
