The Zotac h67ITX-C-E is making a persistent beep.
I confirmed it’s connected and the fans start up, but they keep beeping four times repeatedly. Checked Zotac’s site suggesting a RAM problem, but PCPartPicker indicates the motherboard might need an update for BIOS and even for running third-gen Intel CPUs. I received it from my stepdad’s grandfather, who built a small ITX system for someone he loved. He mentioned I could take it and if I could get it working, it would be mine. I also inquired about whether a second-gen Intel CPU was required for updates. My CPU is a 3rd gen Intel Core i3 3220. Thanks for your assistance. Edited May 15, 2022 by Austin Selman
Sorry if this comes too late. I’m using a motherboard in a low-power setup (i3 2100T, 8gbram with MSI 1050 TI Low Profile 4GB). You’ll definitely need a second-generation Intel CPU to even update the BIOS. I tried installing an i7 3770K and got the same issue—unfortunately, you can’t download BIOS updates directly from Zotac. I found them on a site but haven’t used them yet, mostly because the process isn’t appealing to me. Also, you might want to consider an i7 2600K; it’s not much slower than the 3770K and offers better performance, plus you avoid the risk of damaging the motherboard. UserBenchmark suggests Intel Core i7-2600K is a solid choice over the 3770K.
I discovered the CPU pins in the socket are severely bent. I'm searching for a compatible LGA 1155 motherboard and would appreciate any offers, even if someone is willing to give one away.
