You're experiencing an issue where the USB installer isn't recognizing Windows 7, even though you have it installed. This could be due to file system corruption, incorrect partitioning, or a problem with the installation software itself. Since you're not ready to reinstall Windows 7, try checking the boot order, ensuring all partitions are correctly formatted, and verifying that the Windows installation media is functioning properly.

To dual boot Linux you need to add Grub to the Windows MBR partition and then select the desired operating system from the interface that appears. If you haven’t done this properly or removed Linux, simply follow these steps. If Grub wasn’t installed, you’ll have to rebuild the Linux partition and reinstall it.

You can verify the USB drive type during installation by checking the settings or using system properties. Since you're not ready to reinstall, look for options related to USB configuration or device properties.
