Have anyone encountered problems with Z690 or Z790 Aorus boards? I tested my Z690 Aorus Ultra Mini ITX with DDR5 very rev 1.0 and it functioned properly with GSkill 2x16GB at 7200Mhz. I booted it up briefly while holding an AIO on top, then placed the CPU directly on the die and observed no display. Without further thought, I disassembled it and tried removing the case, but still got no response. Results: no boot, no picture, no signal. I've tried BIOS updates, new GPUs, PSU tweaks, CMOS resets, different RAM configurations, and even connected to monitors. The issue seems consistent across setups. I have a Z790 Apex and it worked here too. Any suggestions before moving the board from another PC?

Tested with a different CPU? The chip might be damaged because bare dies are sensitive. Do you have slower RAM under 6000MHz? Auto-XMP could cause problems at higher speeds.

Really frustrating. Did you test it in Apex after a direct die? You might need to try that to eliminate the CPU possibility.

I verified the die and it's flawless—no chips or cracks. I'm set to get a 32GB RAM stick soon, which will let me try various configurations.

I have the IHS cleaned up, but it doesn't function with that setup either. I'll check Apex next. Note: it was posted earlier on both Apex and Gigabyte.

Back of the socket heating suggests the CPU is functioning properly, possibly after a BIOS flash.

I've already tried several options but nothing helped. I'll take out my Z790 Apex when I get home.
