As mentioned in the title, I recently installed a new PC and encountered issues when trying to activate XMP or ReBAR. I’ve checked by removing RAM one at a time to confirm everything is functioning properly. Using two 16GB sticks without XMP enabled still limits performance to around 4800MT/s. My system runs Windows 11 PRO x64 with an i9-14900K CPU, MAG Z790, TOMAHAWK MAX Wi-Fi board, Corsair vengeance 1000W PSU, and a 4070 Super GPU. I’ve watched numerous YouTube tutorials, but there seems to be no explanation for the error. All my hardware appears capable of higher speeds, yet the PC only boots in CSM mode with XMP disabled and at 4800MT/s. Why is this happening?

What specific memory package you're looking for? There are many Vengeance options with varying timing and speed settings that might impact performance.

These are the items you possess: CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6400MHz CL36-48-48-104 1.35V Intel XMP Desktop Computer Memory - Black. Would you like to consider another model?

This kit often struggles to reach its advertised speed and tends to be more costly compared to faster alternatives like the 6400 CL32. If you must return it, consider exchanging it for another model. If returns aren't possible, try adjusting settings—enable XMP while keeping memory at 4800MT/s to check if XMP settings are the issue. You can gradually increase memory speed until you reach a stable boot or hit 6400MT/s. Additional steps include updating BIOS versions, as newer revisions may support different kits better. Given your system is running 14th generation, using an incompatible BIOS could affect CPU health.

You should consider Corsair RAM that matches your system's needs, especially if you want performance boosts. For high-speed setups or better lighting, opt for faster RAM modules. Check your motherboard specs and aim for at least DDR4-3200 or higher depending on your case design.

You're looking for RAM options, but many seem similar across brands like Corsair. To choose wisely, you typically opt for the most affordable choice.

US? If applicable, I’d choose one of these sets: https://www.newegg.com/team-group-32gb-d...6820331927 and https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BPL82FD9?tag...e=ogi&th=1 That’s why I think Corsair options don’t really stand out—they’re similar to TeamGroup or others, costing about $50 more. Sure, the TeamGroup deal is currently a great discount, but it’s still better to save that amount than opt for marginally improved gear.

I might look into those since I discovered some unused T-force DDR5 RAM I had on hand. It’s a 2x16GB module, and I installed it quickly to test my system. Sure enough, it booted up smoothly, allowed me to set XMP, and now I’m achieving 5800MT/s! Clearly, that Corsair 6000MHz RAM was the cause—I hadn’t realized it was the problem.
