there is a cfg file that allows you to use xbox 1 controller on source based games. I need to recheck my info a bit, but basically if you exec that cfg file via console you can use xbox 1 controller

I'll step away from this... I don't usually play CS:GO. He looks like he has more knowledge.

Run exec controller.360.cfg then type (in console) joystick 1 to select the key you need. Navigate to the CS GO folder, open the specified file.

I attempted this with a PS4 controller via in-game settings, but it was quite challenging to configure. Once it functioned, using it became extremely difficult. It seems consoles rely on auto-aim for convenience. A tailored setup might be possible, but it would require significant time and effort.

Link your controller, launch Steam, switch to big picture mode, navigate to settings, then controller settings. Enable Xbox configuration support. In your Steam library, right-click the game and select Steam Controller Configuration to adjust the controller settings as desired.

I didn't follow your request directly. Instead, I saved a configuration file and changed it, then plan to run tests to check its functionality.

Apologies for the delay. The issue remains unresolved, and I don’t have access to delete or override downloaded controller profiles.
