PCI-E 4.0 and 3.0 should be sufficient for DirectStorage, while the B550 costs $180 compared to $350. Since my office computer handles large sustained transfers—often 30GB to 2TB—I’m really interested in the X570. I’ll bring the X570 from my home PC for work use and keep the B550 for gaming at home.
