Well yea the maximum height that would still fit the card Also maybe a full shot of where exactly on the card that idiotic screw is seems to be somewhere in the first half from your picture.

Remove the cover from the chipset heatsink easily. No concerns here.

Consider a budget-friendly motherboard instead. It’s better than nothing and lets you use the power of an RTX 3070 at around 30 PS. You might not need the B550—look at the offers here: https://www.idealo.de/preisvergleich/Off...abyte.html. There could be even cheaper options, though it’s tough to confirm compatibility.

the only thing i truly desire in another motherboard is asus aura because the other options are completely useless. i only have this one cpu, and if it lacks bios flashback support, a b450 board would be ideal. currently, my top choice is the b550 strix due to its matching connectors, vrm features, and appealing design.

I wasn't able to take the measurement yet. Looking at the photos, I have to guess the chipset cooler is around 4 to 5 mm tall and 1 mm wide. I can get it right in about two hours. Edited January 28, 2021 by Charles Legrerg – I forgot to include something.

It seems you're suggesting that understanding this will simplify things, since many MOBO makers include heat sinks without providing official measurements.

By checking the distances in certain photos, it seems the B550 Strix boards work fine. I chose to sell the TUF X570 and purchase a B550 board because it's more affordable than getting another GPU. If the B550 board doesn't fit, I can return it instead of sending the original GPU back.

It wouldn't be wise to try returning the GPU at this time. Finding a new one would be quite difficult.

I wouldn't claim I found a good deal, but after the prices for 3070s rose by 150 euros, it’ll likely be more affordable to replace your motherboard now. I’m confident I can secure at least 75 euros or more for it.
