The X570 Aorus Master 3rd m2 with SSD slot isn't functioning properly.
I purchased a 1TB Transparent SSD and connected it to my third M.2 port. I secured the SSD with the heatsink screw since the third slot's heatsink is shorter, thinking that was the correct procedure. Everything functioned until a day later when my PC froze and after a reboot, the SSD vanished completely. It wasn't listed in the BIOS. When I opened Event Viewer, only one entry appeared: the motherboard manual didn't mention anything about the third M.2 slot beyond its size and impact on SATA ports, which I didn't use. How can I figure out what happened?
Reposition it. Should it return, it wasn't seated fully. If not, transfer it to a different position. When it reappears elsewhere, the lowest slot is likely faulty (verify again). If it fails completely, the drive is likely dead and you should initiate a return.
