The X370 motherboard fails to accept BIOS updates.
I'm working on updating the BIOS on my MSI x370 gaming pro carbon, hoping to make the NVMe appear. The M-Flash isn't recognizing the new file, even though the USB is detected and formatted correctly as FAT32. The current BIOS version is E7A32AMS V2.BO, and I'm trying to install 7A32V1NU. It's been a couple of hours with no progress so far—any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I’m not locating E7A32AMS in the BIOS download section for the Gaming Pro Carbon board. However, I do see mentions of it for the Gaming Pro Carbon AC model on certain platforms. The Pro Carbon and Pro Carbon AC use distinct BIOS versions; the latter is based on 7A32v2IP as its latest release. Clarification: you haven’t found the original BIOS listing for E7A32AMS, only references to it elsewhere.
I wasn't able to locate that BIOS, but I thought the name might change when it installs. I bought the board used second-hand without the original case, so I'm unsure which one it is. MSDI recognized the serial number as just Pro Carbon (model # 911-7A32-006). I tried both the Pro Carbon and Pro Carbon AC bios, but neither was recognized. I'm starting to get worried that my motherboards might have been tampered with.
