I was using The Witcher 3 version 1.06 with SweetFX, and it functioned perfectly. After updating to version 1.11, SweetFX stopped working entirely. I downloaded the patch but encountered a crash during installation, though I still noticed improvements like an enhanced inventory. GOG claims the game runs on 1.06, but that doesn’t address the core issue. SweetFX has also become non-functional, and reinstalling it didn’t help. I’m surprised how much the game looks without it. I’m open to alternatives as long as they work. If you have another option, let me know!

It mentions 1.10 as a reference point.

It indicates you're missing the correct game version for updates. The process repeats when attempting to apply the 1.10 patch, suggesting a need to reinstall the full game.

It seems like you're suggesting a restart as the most likely solution.

Download the patch separately on GOG and install one at a time. First, get 1.10 and install it. Start the game to check if it reaches 1.10. Then stop it and install the newest patch, then launch again to confirm it worked. If not, use Gog's client, point it to your Witcher 3 folder, and check the installation. It should handle the update automatically. If not, ensure "More" is set to "automatically" for patches/updates.

It was precisely what I intended. However, upon another review, I realized I still possess the installation files on my PC. That means I can easily reinstall everything without needing to download it once more.

Wrong thread: lol: by the way, I now understand the issue is with the 1.01+ over 1.10 patch. It just doesn't function properly. Each time I attempt to install it, it crashes and ends up failing.
