The Windows update isn't appearing.
After installing the latest version, the system rebooted but displayed Version: 1809. Updates were checked, yet it indicated everything was current except for a warning about needing to update settings. It mentioned that the new update includes "Windows SandBox," which I own.
Windows 10 version 1903 released in May 2019 is arriving in phases. Be aware that some updates are paused because the system hasn't fully prepared yet, due to recognized driver or software problems that require resolution by Microsoft, the manufacturer, or you.
Refers to groups of users that might or might not meet certain requirements. In the past with Windows, updates were sent to all users at once. This caused servers to become overwhelmed and download speeds to drop significantly, a problem that became more common as more people had internet access at home and work. Now, updates are distributed in smaller groups to ease server load. Currently, Microsoft also releases updates tailored to specific system configurations and installed software to identify issues. If a problem arises, an automated system will block the update to prevent further disruption, and Microsoft will then analyze it. They may narrow down the issue to a particular hardware or software component, allowing affected users to be unblocked while keeping others safe. The current update status can be found here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows...ws-10-1903 You can initiate an update via Microsoft Update Assistance (https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software.../windows10 - click the blue "Update now" button), but proceed at your own risk. If problems occur, you may need to accept them until a fix is available, or until a driver update is provided. Possible issues include malfunctioning hardware, data loss, programs failing to run, incorrect Windows features, or consent-related BSODs. These are just a few examples of the many possible scenarios. A single memory card, a specific sound card, or even a software version installed can trigger an update block.
