You have a Nitro 5 with a 7th generation processor and Windows 11 (version 21H2). Everything functioned properly until the KB5010795 update (Build 22000.438) two days ago. After rebooting, the system took longer to start than before, possibly due to the new update still being installed. When it finally launched, your second drive (D was at full capacity, but it wasn’t showing up at all. I attempted a system restore, but it didn’t work and the second drive remains missing. Could you get some guidance on resolving this issue?

Is that drive an HDD? If so, thee is a good chance it is a failing. worth checking for that. No, Windows Update doesn't break drives. But typically Windows Update does a lot of drive work, and that might have exposed a drive that faces a manufacture error. If it is faulty, then it should be covered by the manufacture warranty.

From my own experience with heavy CPU use, it feels like malware. 04-15-2021, 03:35 PM #8I experienced performance problems with my laptop upon receiving it in 2019. If I recall correctly, I had to reinstall Windows 10 multiple times before it became functional. Perhaps clearing the system and starting over would help?
