It appears the update caused issues and may have corrupted the installation more than a BIOS problem based on the last screenshot. To start fresh, select 'custom install' instead of 'upgrade' when booting the installer. If needed, you can clear all partitions by deleting them during setup. For your data, I recommend creating a live Linux USB to boot from and transferring important files to an external drive before reinstalling.
