The Windows PC is unable to access the internet.
I was trying to clean up some old network adapters on my PC late at night and accidentally caused a problem. I don’t recall exactly what happened. Now I’m unsure where to begin. When I connect a laptop to the same port on my router, everything works fine. I ran a factory reset on Windows and fixed nothing. Where should I start troubleshooting? I’ve updated the drivers, but the real Ethernet adapter isn’t showing up in ipconfig.
I resolved it by removing the controller and reinstalling the drivers.
Hi I was just curious as i think i might have a similar problem (only in secure boot though but thought id ask anyway) and i have not really mucked around with the software side of my pc much did you just uninstall the controller and reboot for it to reinstall? or did you manually reinstall them? sorry if its a silly question
Thank you for your message. I installed the newest Realtek drivers myself after removing them.
