The Windows installation media fails to recognize the drive.
Windows 11, Asus z890 pro art, ultra 9 CPU, windows 11, 4090 GPU. The M.2 I'm attempting a fresh install for is T705 with the heatsink. It appears in the BIOS but not in the list when using the Windows install media. I've updated my BIOS to version 1501. Any suggestions?
I've revised my bios to the newest version, 1501.
Did you reset the CMOS after confirming the BIOS was successfully updated to the latest?
Download the SSD driver from here:
https://uk.crucial.com/support/ssd-support/t705-support
using a different system, remove the file, then transfer the X64 folder contents. The inf file will be useful during OS installation.
Regarding the OS, where did you obtain the installer?
My home systems are balanced between Windows 10 and 11, and I experience no problems with either version.
I have restored my BIOS settings to the default. The INF files don't appear unless I enable incompatible drivers. Clicking install doesn't do anything. I received the Windows install media from this link:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...-w...c3b507420d
The microcenter tech support assisted me. They guided me to download from the provided link and installed the drivers from rapid storage technology, which enabled me to view my drives listed.
Ensure the SATA controller is configured for AHCI. Turn off Intel RST. Disable Fast boot and secure boot. If issues persist, install the NVME driver using the Gigabyte USB installer. You may obtain the driver from their website at the provided link. The NVME driver is generic; select any Windows USB tool download. The specific motherboard or Windows version is irrelevant. After downloading the archive, extract it and locate the driver in the specified paths. Copy it to a USB flash drive and load it during the Windows installation.
