You're facing a common issue with older Windows versions on modern hardware. Since your Lenovo ThinkCentre (2012) only has USB ports and no PS/2 connections, you'll need to use a USB-to-PS/2 adapter or a different setup method. The installer might not work without proper drivers, so checking for a special version that supports older hardware or using a compatible keyboard/mouse could help.

It seems you're asking about the connection type of your keyboard and mouse. Are you trying to figure out whether they use USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 ports?

It's a 2.0 model and Lenovo doesn't support USB 3.0.

Do you understand if those ports function in any updated OS installer or not? E: It's likely Win2000 doesn't include USB2 by default, similar to Win7 and USB3. Recent searches suggest support appears with SP4 for Win2000. Updated April 22, 2019 by LoGiCalDrm

Is this version 4? Almost certainly anything prior lacks the USB2.0 drivers. You might insert the USB2.0 drivers into the image. If it features a serial (RS-232) port, you could attempt using a serial-to-PS2 adapter with a PS2 keyboard if available.

Considering a significantly older operating system such as Windows 7 isn't advisable unless you have a particular need for it. Other complications will likely arise.
