The Windows 11 PC is shutting down unexpectedly.
Starting from this morning, my Windows 11 PC has been shutting down unexpectedly.
It functioned normally until the previous night.
No recent hardware modifications were made. I recently installed Davinchi Resolve, but the system remained stable until last night.
What might be causing this problem?
It might be several potential causes.
Possible issues include a bad RAM, high CPU usage, motherboard problems, incorrect Windows updates, faulty drivers (especially GPU), unstable power supply, and glitchy Power Supply.
Two simple steps to help narrow it down are:
- Perform a file system check for corrupt Windows files using SFC and DISM.
- Try booting in safe mode and observe if the system shuts off.
Process of elimination also suggests running a memtest on the RAM to detect errors. Cheers.
My PC shuts down abruptly while using Windows 11, particularly when using web browsers like Google Chrome or Firefox. If I restart Windows 11 and leave it running, it doesn't power off. Running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS with Firefox works fine. After moving my M.2 drive where Windows 11 is installed, the problem persists.
The current problem has been addressed as a new case. The earlier problem was fixed by reinstalling Windows 11.
