Looking for log files or similar information?
I’m trying to avoid a full reinstall until next year, or at least a reset that preserves my files and possibly software.
I also have some backup options available.
Additionally, there’s an issue with my USB-C port—sometimes it charges the laptop while also connecting the monitor, causing the screen to reset. It seems the second USB-C cable is less stable, so I switched to the other one from the same brand for the monitor.

the usb connection is the main issue I've observed, aside from possibly installing new drivers.
i also set up a dual boot on a second windows partition, but there are still problems with the monitor disconnecting.
i suspect this might be connected to the usb c hub or the monitor cable.
i wonder if using a different usb cord could help, or if adjusting the hub power is necessary.
my phone also caused shutdowns recently, so it’s possible it’s contributing to the problem.

12 GB RAM is probably correct for a laptop, right? The RAM specifications are likely 8GB plus 4GB. It seems like they didn't use a complete set of RAM parts. Look into the laptop or motherboard manual for supported RAM options.

yes, 8GB and 4GB slots should be considered when blurring the part#

It might have overheated. Recently, the fan ran very fast, yet it didn’t restart after a crash, which made me think this could be related to the issue. I also noticed the BIOS was configured for Powersave.

When crashes exceed count, examine Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer for associated error codes, warnings, or informational events recorded prior to or during the crashes.
