I have Windows 10 installed, but the NVIDIA graphics driver updates aren't working. The files are downloaded, yet installation fails and the card isn't recognized. Something is wrong with Windows!

Download directly from NVIDIA, but it doesn't function correctly with Windows Update.

I attempted once, but the driver installer reported incompatibility with my Windows version. The hardware ID for the 1050 Ti isn't visible in Device Manager, only showing the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.

Consider setting up GeForce Experience and then obtaining the necessary drivers from there. The installation guide is available at: http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience

I attempted that first, but it failed to proceed past the setup since it isn't compatible with my Windows version.

Remove GPU from device manager and boot. Once Windows identifies the GPU, retry using the latest Nvidia driver version.
