It was installing very slowly, forcing me to power off my PC during setup (system restore needed). Are others experiencing similar problems?

Take about an hour or two if you're using Windows Update, even with a SSD. Just let it handle the rest.

What is this? I've never received an update that lasted so long. What purpose do these updates serve to cause such delays? Installing them on an HDD would be extremely difficult.

Updates require less effort from my side, though cleaning up after them on the disk in Windows 8/10 can be quite time-consuming.
