Hello everyone, welcome! I'm just starting out and wanted your help with a tricky issue. When adjusting the volume in the system tray slider, the "ding" sound disappears, leaving me uncertain about the actual volume level. I've attached a screenshot for reference. In the volume mixer, the sound effect appears when changing volume, but not in the current modern interface. It seems to be the only sound on my PC that isn't functioning properly. I'm using Windows 10 version 19608. I've searched extensively online—Google, forums, Reddit—but haven't found a solution yet. I've tried several troubleshooting steps: right-clicking the speaker icon, going to sounds, selecting the volume mixer, changing from the default sound to "no sounds," saving changes, ensuring Windows Background.wav is set correctly, checking mute settings, uninstalling and reinstalling audio drivers without internet, running the Windows audio troubleshooter, and even creating a new user account. The issue only appears on my current account, while others seem unaffected. I'm not sure what's causing this, but it's definitely not a common problem. Thanks for your help!
