Hello, the problem occurs each time I attempt to install Windows 11 on my W10 PC—it freezes at the 8% download stage. The Windows Update indicates the system is prepared for the update but stops before completion. It doesn’t consume CPU, disk space, or Ethernet, only about 100MB of RAM. My attempts so far include: using the Windows Update troubleshooter, performing a startup repair, running sfc /scannow, and trying the Windows11installationassistant.exe from the MSI site (it seemed functional at first but didn’t finish). I’m hoping to install W11 without losing most of my files, so I’m not interested in using an installation media. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you ahead of time.
