Yes, you can contact them via \\computername. The network interface may not display devices even when they are present.

I’m making some headway. I can reach my server’s mirror through this method, though not the actual server. The key distinction is that the server runs on Windows, while the mirror resides on a NAS with its own likely UNIX operating system.

Verify the server status by confirming the network settings—ensure the yellow indicator isn’t showing as disabled due to lack of privacy. Check the network page for any signs that discovery is turned off.

Thanks for your input, but I've already addressed this issue. All devices are configured to a private network, file sharing is disabled, and they all belong to the same workgroup. The only setting I can modify is the NAS unit, though it doesn't show up in the list. Access via \\Moon works, but \\Earth for my main server isn't reachable.

The video indicated it worked on the PC, but I'm not sure. Have you restarted the server yet?

Connecting via IP address versus domain name yields identical outcomes.

It seems you're experiencing some confusion about IP input. Typing "\\Earth" works while "typing 'Earth'" doesn't. You might need a coffee to focus. If you stay too long, you could take action—though the windowed side is close to your dominant kicking foot!
