i resolved the issue quickly but wifi didn't link on my pc. it seemed to be missing a pci driver. I updated windows 11 and checked all pending updates. Reddit forums suggested changing the wifi driver, but I tried switching from 5ghz to 2.4 and entered the correct password. Sometimes it would get stuck in authentication or just say it couldn't connect. I used the network troubleshooter, but it didn’t install any app and pointed out that my device lacked it. I checked the settings, network options, and even tried mobile data via ethernet, but it still wouldn’t connect. I found a property in the advanced settings and saw options for different frequencies, but nothing clear on what to install. It looks like the problem might be driver-related or hardware mismatch. Reinstalling windows could help if it’s a driver issue, though I’m not sure what to do next.

Have you attempted removing the drivers, shutting down the machine then restarting it to let Windows reinstall them?

Yes, it hasn't worked properly. The driver installs fine, but the dual-band 802.11a/b/g settings aren't functioning. The 5GHz 802.11a also doesn't connect reliably, except when I switch to the 2.4GHz band (b, g, or b/g). My internet speeds dropped from 800-900Mbps to just 144Mbps. I can barely stream a 720p YouTube video without buffering, let alone play games on this network.
