The Wi-Fi gadget is affecting LAN devices' performance.
My sisters bf occasionally brings his "gaming laptop" over and connects to my Wi-Fi. It rarely happens but when it does, my desktop ping times spike significantly. During these instances, I experience 700ms latency to sites like Google and games lag heavily. To resolve it, I must disable and re-enable the connection each time. I’ve checked possible fixes but most advice focuses on fixing his laptop’s Wi-Fi issues or updating drivers. I’m not concerned about his device or its connectivity; my main goal is to reduce lag. Could there be router settings I can adjust to minimize his impact?
